Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

I'm interested in enrolling at ERAU, but I'd like to know the admission requirements. What kind of SAT/ACT scores do I need to get? How many credits do I need for each class? (Math, Foreign Language, English, etc.) What about honors and AP classes. Are those considered?

I'm actually a freshman in high school, so I won't be applying for a while! I just wanted to know what courses I needed because we just started registration for next school year. Thanks!

even though you guys dont post a minimum score for sat or act, what kind of score would you recommend for a good chance of acceptance and do you have a preference in test, would you prefer an act score or a sat score or maybe both

I didnt take the SAT and had a 19 on my ACT. I had a 2.5 overall GPA in all high school and took general classes and I was accepted only because I had an exceptional letter of recommendation. So my advise is if your grades or test scores aren't that great, get some good letter handed in.

Does Embry-Riddle have early decision? and would a recommendation letter from our Adj. General of Vermont help a lot?

I can tell you the average SAT score is about 1160 (Math and Reading only) and for the ACT, the average is about 24. We don't prefer one test over the other, they are both equal in our books. As for the admissions process, we don't have any early decision program, its more of a rolling admissions style where you can apply and get accepted throughout the year, even the day before school starts. We will start reviewing applications here shortly so my recommendation to you is to apply in September, October, or November. That way you will have a decision fast and you'll still be reviewed for plenty of scholarship money.

Ok Great thanks... but i am only a Junior, so I wont be applying until next year. I'm just really nervous for the application part. I have a 3.5 GPA and my parents tell me that it might not be good enough.. what do you think. I have already gotten my Pilots License and do a lot of Air Force JROTC and Civil Air Patrol stuff... From what I've told you, do you think that i would have a good chance or work even harder.

I think you'll do fine :)

Do they really want two years of a language or just one will be fine?

What languages ? Foreign, or just English ? How many classes per week ? Just asking, 'cause I speak 4 languages, and I don't know if it's at all relevant for the application ....

Foreign Language. it says the recommend one year of Foreign Language. I have taken one year of french and was hopping it is enough.
