Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

Hi !
Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I'm completely unfamiliar with the US application system. When is one considered to have applied ? When he has sent all the necessary documents ? Or when he's sent the application form ? Or when he has started to send scores and stuff ?
Sorry again, but I guess I'm kinda clueless for this kind of thing ...
Thanks for answering...

Hi Brenainn,

I'm just a student here, so I'm probably not the best one to answer your question, but I'll give you my "two-cents." In general, applying to Embry-Riddle (or any US college I've dealt with, for that matter) is a process. I suppose that as soon as you send in the application, you could truthfully say that you've applied, but of course, the college will request supplementary information from you (test scores, transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc) before making an acceptance decision. Thus, I would say that the application process is really not complete until you've sent all the required information to the admissions department. In my case, Embry-Riddle sent a checklist of all the material they still needed from me after I submitted my application, so all I needed to do was round up the required materials and send them.

Does that answer your question? If not, don't hesitate to get the clarification you need.

Congratulations on applying to Embry-Riddle, by the way!

Marc

Haven't completed my application yet, but will soon have. ;-)

Thanks again,

Just to let you know what's required here at ERAU, we first need an application from the student (only online this year). Then we will need:
Transcripts from your High School (Or community college)
Test scores either SAT or ACT
and 2 Letters of recommendation

Once we have ALL of those documents we will be able to make a decision
