I'm just curious about everyone(class of 2013) =P

Hey there, honestly I realize right now that everyone is probably just asking questions cuz school is gonna start relatively soon, like a month and a half. However, I right now am just interested in everyone else who is gonna be there this fall. Honestly I am excited to get to go somewhere new and study something (Aerospace engineering) that not a lot of other people get the chance to do.
Soooo.... Basically I am just asking what you all are looking forward to and just tell everyone about yourselves. Nothing wrong with getting to know each other a little bit before we get thrown into the rush XD

hey nice to 'meet' you mitch

dude im kind of in the same situation
trying to get to know ppl before going
and i'm also a little anxious about going cuz it'll be a big change for me
i went to high school in chula vista (a suburb of san diego), but I have lived half of high school in Tijuana (a city across the border in Mexico) and half my life is still there
so staying in arizona all year will be a big change

im also lookind forward to trying out for the golden eagles team
but i know its tough to make it....
so yea.......

anyway....
how about you?
whats your story?
what do u look fwd to?
and what part of california are you from?

Nice to meet you as well Miguel. I'm from Sacramento, and I went to Jesuit High School there (Private All Guys school) and that has been the best. All my family is still here, so moving away is good and bad for me. I'm only a couple hours away flying, but also I just wanna do stuff on my own. I just really want to get the whole experience first hand, and try and make as many friends and connections as possible. I actually didn't even know what embry-riddle was until my school counselor told me about it, and i was kinda like... ehh... idk... But then i looked it up and I am glad I made this choice. One thing that is gonna be the hardest for me is just not being with my friends i have gotten to know for the last 4 years =/. But I know I'm gonna meet a lot more people in the fall, so it won't be soooo bad.

Hey Mitch!

Lets see, a little about me...born in California [Cypress, SoCal FTW!], moved to Washington when I was 9, so at this point I've spend equal time in both states and I love both equally :) I'm gonna be an AeroSci major and I'm SUPER excited about that. I love music and sports and surfing and dancing and video games and making friends and lots of stuff. I'm a pretty positive, upbeat person naturally.

I can't wait to get to Prescott :) I'm excited that there's an In N Out Burger AND a Sonic within a short drive [two things that we're seriously lacking up in the northwest]. It's definitely going to be different being away from my parents, but I'm stoked for the new adventure :)

hey heyy, aerospace engineering ftw

I'm Kevin from Hawaii.
I went to Iolani School if anyone happens to have heard of it. Been there since kindergarten so i'll be leaving a bunch of people that i've known for a long time behind. living in hawaii its always so temperate so i have no idea how i'm guna handle the heat or the ice.

...btw is it me or did no one else get their dorm assignments. i was told we were supposed to get the it in mid-july and that's around now and i really wanna know the people i'm dorming with.

No one [as far as I know] has gotten their assignments. I'm bummed too because I want to bond with my new roommates! The last letter I got from Housing said we should be getting them around the first week of August, so start looking for the letter in about a week and a half or so :)

Kevin, I know your school well--it's an amazing place. Todd Fleming and I are professional associates. Come see me when you get to campus; I'd like to recruit you to go back to Iolani when you're back home for the holidays. I came here from California, and I can promise you that the summer heat up here at 5300 feet isn't bad, averaging out in the 90's. And it's much less humid than Hawaii. Also, we only had one significant snowfall last winter--about 7"--and it was FUN! But you will need to get some warmer clothes for Dec-March. Not bad though. I look forward to meeting you. Tom

Hi Everyone! im Samantha, im actually coming in this fall as a transfer student so i probably wont be rooming with any of you :( which sucks because like everyone elsed I REALLY wanna meet my roommate! Well im going for a Mechanical Engineering major but im considering staying an extra year and doing a dual major with Astro and Mechanical Engineering....It just depends on how that first semester goes and my funding. Im from Vancouver washington, and am super excited to go to Arizona and actually see the sun year round! lol im pretty involved in the college i attended here i was a member of the engineering club, Phi Theta Kappa, and NERD Girls, i plan on being somewhat involved at ERAU but not quite as much as i was before, I really want to meet new people, make new friendships, and have FUN! I work at Jamaba Juice a really up beat, and loud smoothie place and am very dissapointed that the closest one is two hours away!! Im kinda nervouse about leaving all my friends and family behind since this is where ive lived my whole life but it will be a great growing expierence and hey we have to go home over summer and winter break anyways!!

Cant wait to meet you all!!

coolio =D
I don't think I'm gonna be missing jamba juice as much as chipotle though lol

WHAT?!?! Jamba is way better! lol maybe because i am a wuss when it comes to even mildly hot foods, and i can never finish one of their massive barritos! Well i got my tuition bill and based on that i know that i am in the village suites (double occupancy) which totally sucks and was like my third choice on the list! but ohh well ill learn to deal with it. Still waiting to hear who my roommate is though!

Well that's good at least =P
but have you even TRIED a quesadilla from
chipotle?? They are amazing!
