I'm just curious about everyone(class of 2013) =P

Hey there, honestly I realize right now that everyone is probably just asking questions cuz school is gonna start relatively soon, like a month and a half. However, I right now am just interested in everyone else who is gonna be there this fall. Honestly I am excited to get to go somewhere new and study something (Aerospace engineering) that not a lot of other people get the chance to do.
Soooo.... Basically I am just asking what you all are looking forward to and just tell everyone about yourselves. Nothing wrong with getting to know each other a little bit before we get thrown into the rush XD

well i got my roommates home phone number so i think im just going to have to call her sometime. its not even her cell number its her home phone so it might be a little awkward if her mom or someone picks up and i have to explain who i am lol. You guys who found your roommates on myspace and what not should consider yourself lucky!! lol

have you called yet? i think im going to call mine today after work....you should let me know exactly how awackward it was lol i have no clue what to say after the whole "hi im your roommate" part lol.

what do you even say after that anyway? im hesitating to call cuz of the awkwardness. the best part is that i have to call him because the school probably gave him my home phone number which we dont even use, its the fax line for our business so if he tries to call he's gonna get the melodious sound of a screaming fax machine

Well I haven't called yet, but depending on the demeanor of your roomate, just talk casual and ask about how ready they are for school etc... And just act as if you are meeting this person in person or something along those lines.... I haven't called yet but that's at least what I plan ok doing

im not a big fan of Chipotle. Most mexican restaurants dissapoint me.

Hi! I live kind of close to Compton, i have flown to the airport a lot during flying lessons too. Yay, you like jamba juice, you should come with us on our long drive, but you can skip the chipotle part :]

I'll have my car too, so I can drive if we have a big group that wants to go :) we'll have fun.

talking to your roomate isn't so awkward as you might think, or at least it wasn't when mine called me

he was just like
"hi im looking for someone named miguel"
- oh it's me
- oh ok. my name is gabriel, im your roomate
- oh really? well nice to meet you gabriel. where are you from??
- from houston but right now im in germany
- germany!! niceeee!! and you're on vacation im guessing??
- yea im here with my family. and where are you from??
-......
-.........

so it went something like that, and of course that wasn't all, but i'm not gonna write the whole conversation
it wasnt so awkward
i guess asking where you/he/she is from is a good qustion to start the conversation

good advice :) I tend to be...overly enthusiastic when meeting new people, so I don't want to scare my new roomie :) gotta find a way to dial it back for a phone call, and then hopefully we'll figure out how to talk by text/email so my enthusiasm doesn't overwhelm her.

hey, i just thought of something,
once we get to erau, we may not find each other to arrange the trip.
so i was thinking, maybe we could all share phone numbers so we can all talk to each other over there
of course we can still use this website but, well,............. you never know
if u guys want, if not, well just dont post your number
i'll start, mine is
(619) 215-4620

Personally, I can have my chipotle and finish it all off with a nice smoothie from Jamba Juice. Haha

But like Melissa mentioned, In ‘n Out does own all! I literally yelled “oh sweet!” when I read there was one close to campus. haha

Anyways, hello Mitch and my fellow classmates! I’m Ricky from Sunland, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. I’ve lived my entire life in southern California and attended Crescenta Valley High School these last four years. Like everyone else, I am leaving a crazy family, crazier friends, and an amazing life behind. However, I am ecstatic and stoked to be able to attend Riddle in only a few short weeks. I will be an AeroSci major. JROTC was a huge influence, passion, and part of my life in high school and I’ve decided to pursue a career as an Air Force Officer (hopefully) which means I’ll be a part of the senior AFROTC program at Riddle which should be tons of fun.

I think I’ve found my roommate’s Facebook but I’m not sure if it’s really him or not lol.

Hope everyone else is having a fantastic summer break!
