It's really illegal? I didn't know that..yeah, the Mayan people joked that we would have to hunt the iguana in order to be able to eat it...But we didn't. It was okay...but it definitely didn't taste like chicken! The best things were the empanadas! They were delicious. I haven't been able to find any like them in the US, and I'm addicted! They also had a really good dessert made from honey and seeds? maybe you know what it is? It's kinda like a granola bar? maybe? lol. Whatever it was it was delish!
haha, yeah I look 18 so they never bothered. Umm. We were only there for like a week, so that's mainly it. We stayed in Playa Del Carmen. But basically we went all over Cancun. We went on a Jungle Excursion, and that's when we visited a Mayan Village and ate the traditional food (Iguana does not taste like Chicken). So I don't know exactly where at that was... And we visited Ik Kil (sp?) and some other cenotes....they are breathtaking!
Ya! although, when I was in mexico I never got Id'd anyway. I did tequila shots with my tour group @ Tulum and after The Unimogs to the beach. soooo. I didn't really need one! N2m our resort was all inclusive and all you had to do wad wallk up to a bar. Same thing at Xel-Ha. Lol. But Im in the USA now, and things are definitely different. Oh well. I'll make it work!
